Kitsuné Maison 11 Tokyo Release @ WOMB.
I had the pleasure of catching Kitsuné Maison 11’s Tokyo release event at Shibuya super club WOMB last month. While this compilation is true to it’s title (The Indie Dance Issue), guest DJ’s were pumping house until the wee hours (and I’m not complaining).
Kitsuné’s own co-founder Gildas headlined and put out a thoroughly danceable set. The Lowbrows followed with high energy grooves that made it easy to stay awake well past sunrise.
Around 4 am, I headed to the top floor to check out Vodkatronic, who was nice enough to put my friend and I on his guest list (saving us about 3000 yen a piece). The guy had more dance in him than the whole room combined.
A great night/morning at a great club.
FYI: For those who can read Japanese/have a friend who can, head to the WOMB website and sign up to be a WOMB member. After you receive the confirmation email, show it to the front desk staff and get your fingerprint scanned. You get ¥1000 off admission and free cover for one event on your birthday month. Your fingerprint is your “member’s card,” so you never have to worry about forgetting it at home. Clutch.
